The World in Slow Motion trip PDF Print E-mail
The world in Slow motion is a trip around the world without flying. Lara and Tom who I briefly met in San Cristobal de las Casas in Mexico, chose not to fly as they thought it'd be more fun and adventurous, taking them to parts of the world a plane cannot - such across the waters of the Pacific Ocean - and allowing them to view the world in a different way.

As they like to say, they've been able to watch the world change slowly around them as they've headed east and had some amazing experiences. Plus, of course, by not flying they've taken the greener travel option, allowing them to tread more lightly on the very planet  which we all set out to explore.

I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that Tupolev or Boeing for instance have been heavily researching about the possibility of using alternative fuels (respectively cryogenic LPG/ hydrogen and fuel cell/batteries). My ultimate dream would be to fly a very light jet powered by a non-contaminating fuel: will this be my next adventure?

"We hope that our website will not only inspire people to have a go at travelling without flying themselves but also provide them with a great deal of the information they need to do it."

You can check their amazing and well-related adventures at www.worldinslowmotion.com

Good luck to them!
